City Kids is an intriguing tale set against the exciting background of the theatre world. Three young strangers to city life – Daniel, Themba and Khanyisa – are thrown together as a result of unusual circumstances. Through Daniel, who works part-time at the Showcase Theatre, Themba lands a part as a dancer in the soon-to-open show and manages to earn just enough money to enable him and his younger brother, Khanyisa, to survive on the inhospitable city streets.
